‘RealFlex’ is a newly developed module wholly integrated into our Manufacturing System and will be released under the latest upgrade. It is a fully functional Finite Capacity Planning and Production Scheduling tool that uses native data. It will be available to all users as an optional licensed module.
There are significant enhancements to a number of existing modules such as Costing and Works Orders which are only available within this new version and these changes allow RealFlex to operate in an advanced mode in order to populate the grid pattern shown below on an automatic or manual selection basis.

It also integrates with the Shop Floor Data Capture Systems to show Job/Operation progress.
A new Production Availability Calendar allows for multiple shift or working
week profiles, and extends to multiplecalendars to cater for different sections
of the business, or separate buildings.
The main premise is that Job/Operations are selected in turn and ‘dropped’ from the Pool into the appropriate slot against a chosen machine. The colour coding (totally user definable) indicates whether the type of Works Order, which parts of the operation are Setting and Production, and the Borders indicate a number of different issues or problems.
The ‘bar’ will extend across the time columns indicating how much elapsed time is needed to complete that operation. If another operation is placed in front of it, then the original bar will be moved across the timing calendar to avoid clashing with the first one. The re-sited operation may then show colour coded alerts or warnings indicating that problems have arisen.
At the bottom of each column are two figures which represent the maximum number of Setters and Operators required within the defined calendar time slot.
The display can be selected for different types of machines and all visible job/operation entries have totally selective colour coding.
A Job/Operation showing a Red or Amber border is in Alert or Warning status. Double clicking on the operation bar displays a help screen containing all pertinent job data, plus the reason for the alert. The outline border of the bar shows in white to indicate that it is this operation that the pop up window refers to.
The storage of an identification drawing or photograph can also be displayed at
Job level. When present this will be displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the pop up window.
Working Week profiles may be set for an individual or group of people or a particular shift.
